Through sounding probes is designed to assess the internal quality and homogeneity of a material by measuring the ultrasonic pulse velocity through the entire thickness of the material.

Through sounding probes make it possible to detect cracks inside the material. This type of probes can work with one/two side access of a certain material, as well as at the corner. While using these probes it’s nessesary to measure the distance between the probes manually by calipers, tape measure, ruler, etc.

Device with through sounding probes can be calibrated for any material like concrete and bricks, with different thickness and shape. Standard calibration block for through-sounding probes is not included into standard kit and it should be ordered separately or may use your own calibration sample for through-transmission probes.
